What is CBD kief?

Kief, sometimes transliterated as keef, shish kief or kif, refers to the resinous trichomes of cannabis that can accumulate in containers or be sifted from loose, dried cannabis flowers with a net or sieve.

Kief is made from the resin glands that contain the terpenes and cannabinoids that make cannabis so unique. Kief contains a much higher concentration of nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as CBD, than the cannabis flowers from which it is derived.

Traditionally, kief is pressed into hash buns for storage convenience, but it can be vaporized or smoked in either form.

How to decarboxylate kief

Spread the kief evenly on a tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 120°C and remember to stir once halfway through cooking.
